Want to speed up the initial start up of the program?
Click Tools > Options > Other tab and choose None from the Startup View option.

Other options are List View or Startup View but these views take time to load, depending on the amount of records you have and the speed of (and traffic on) your network, the startup time will vary.

If you choose None, you can display the List or Contact views by choosing that option from the View Menu.
