&lt;p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"&gt;&lt;span id="docs-internal-guid-54500ea1-f0bd-faf3-88d7-81aadb3049cc"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 10pt; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; font-family: arial;"&gt;There are three ways to generate thank-you letters, Build-in Letters, Word Merge and PDF Emails.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"&gt;&lt;span id="docs-internal-guid-54500ea1-f0bd-faf3-88d7-81aadb3049cc"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 10pt; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; font-family: arial;"&gt;Click Program Setup &amp;gt; Options &amp;gt; Letters/Receipts tab and select the Use PDF/Email Option.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"&gt;&lt;span id="docs-internal-guid-54500ea1-f0bd-faf3-88d7-81aadb3049cc"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"&gt;&lt;span id="docs-internal-guid-54500ea1-f0bd-faf3-88d7-81aadb3049cc"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 10pt; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; font-family: arial;"&gt;Without setting this option, you will not be able to generate an individual letter to PDF/Email. Also, when generating Batch Letters, having this option set makes it so that the PDF Email Output is selected by default. (see below for details.)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

	&lt;p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"&gt;&lt;span id="docs-internal-guid-54500ea1-f0bd-faf3-88d7-81aadb3049cc"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 10pt; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"&gt;Built-in Letters: The advantage of the Built-in letters is that they require the least setup and you can specify which letter a particular Payment is associated with. When generating letters, each Payment will use the letter associated with it. The disadvantages are the limitations in design and layout, using a custom letterhead (is difficult) and the receipt stub options are quite rigid. It also doesn&amp;rsquo;t provide a way to email them (other than generating them one at a time, creating a PDF and manually sending it by email.)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
	&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: decimal; font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial; vertical-align: baseline;"&gt;
	&lt;p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"&gt;&lt;span id="docs-internal-guid-54500ea1-f0bd-faf3-88d7-81aadb3049cc"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 10pt; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"&gt;Word Merge: The advantage of Word Merge is that you can use whatever design you create in Word, including custom letterhead images and receipt stub. You can also easily Merge to Email. Individual Letters generated (not merge) had an option to create a link to the File (History / Files). The disadvantages are that the entire batch must use the same letter; the letter that is chosen when entering the Payment is not used at all. Also, Emails use the HTML format which doesn&amp;rsquo;t look good when received. PDF attachment is not an option (unless you have Adobe Acrobat Pro). You also cannot customize each letter when you send then by Email. Setup is complicated and knowledge of Word and Merges are required. File links only worked for individual files, but not for a batch (merge). &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

	&lt;p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"&gt;&lt;span id="docs-internal-guid-54500ea1-f0bd-faf3-88d7-81aadb3049cc"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 10pt; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"&gt;PDF Emails: Here we implement the advantages of each of the above without any of the downsides. You can generate batch PDF attachment Emails, each based on the Letter associated with the specific Payment. You can also customize each one by adding a PS. You can use a predefined, easily configurable template that has your letterhead and stationery design, and you can use a signature image. You don&amp;rsquo;t need Adobe Acrobat Pro, Word or even Outlook, and setup is quite simple. File links in history are created whether you&amp;rsquo;re sending an individual letter or a batch.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"&gt;&lt;span id="docs-internal-guid-54500ea1-f0bd-faf3-88d7-81aadb3049cc"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 10pt; text-decoration-line: underline; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; font-family: arial;"&gt;PDF Settings - Organization and Letter&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"&gt;&lt;span id="docs-internal-guid-54500ea1-f0bd-faf3-88d7-81aadb3049cc"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 10pt; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; font-family: arial;"&gt;PDF Settings are the detailed instructions you enter describing exactly how your PDFs are to be created. This includes using a Letterhead Template, setting the Page Size and Margins, designating a Signature Image, and more.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"&gt;&lt;span id="docs-internal-guid-54500ea1-f0bd-faf3-88d7-81aadb3049cc"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"&gt;&lt;span id="docs-internal-guid-54500ea1-f0bd-faf3-88d7-81aadb3049cc"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 10pt; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; font-family: arial;"&gt;PDF Settings are associated with an Organization. If you have multiple Organizations, each one can have its own PDF Settings. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"&gt;&lt;span id="docs-internal-guid-54500ea1-f0bd-faf3-88d7-81aadb3049cc"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 10pt; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; font-family: arial;"&gt;PDF Settings can also be associated with a Letter and each Letter can have it&amp;rsquo;s own PDF Settings. In the case where a Payment is associated with a Letter that has it&amp;rsquo;s own PDF Settings, the PDF Settings of the Letter will override the PDF Settings of the Organization.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"&gt;&lt;span id="docs-internal-guid-54500ea1-f0bd-faf3-88d7-81aadb3049cc"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"&gt;&lt;span id="docs-internal-guid-54500ea1-f0bd-faf3-88d7-81aadb3049cc"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 10pt; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; font-family: arial;"&gt;Start by configuring the PDF Settings for the Organization.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"&gt;&lt;span id="docs-internal-guid-54500ea1-f0bd-faf3-88d7-81aadb3049cc"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 10pt; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; font-family: arial;"&gt;Click Program Setup &amp;gt; Options &amp;gt; Letters/Receipt tab and click the PDF Settings button.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"&gt;&lt;span id="docs-internal-guid-54500ea1-f0bd-faf3-88d7-81aadb3049cc"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 10pt; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; font-family: arial;"&gt;The specific PDF Settings will be described in greater detail further on.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"&gt;&lt;span id="docs-internal-guid-54500ea1-f0bd-faf3-88d7-81aadb3049cc"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 10pt; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; font-family: arial;"&gt;The PDF preview that is generated is not based on real data, but it does show how the PDF will look based on the PDF Settings you enter.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

We strongly recommend that you use Outlook to actually send out your emails which is faster, more secure and robust in sending emails that when sending directly with CMS. Outlook can be setup to work with your Gmail account. The simplest way to set up Outlook is to use &lt;a href="https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gappssync"&gt;G Suite Sync for Microsoft Outlook&amp;reg;&lt;/a&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 13.3333px; vertical-align: baseline; font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 10pt; white-space: pre-wrap;"&gt;The benefits of using Outlook are many:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;span id="docs-internal-guid-54500ea1-f0bd-faf3-88d7-81aadb3049cc"&gt; &lt;/span&gt;

&lt;ul&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;&lt;span id="docs-internal-guid-54500ea1-f0bd-faf3-88d7-81aadb3049cc"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 13.3333px; vertical-align: baseline; font-family: arial; white-space: pre-wrap;"&gt;Faster: CMS puts the emails in Outook's outbox, and Outlook does the sending. CMS is then free to continue using.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;&lt;span id="docs-internal-guid-54500ea1-f0bd-faf3-88d7-81aadb3049cc"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 13.3333px; vertical-align: baseline; font-family: arial; white-space: pre-wrap;"&gt;Secure: With G Suite Sync, your credentials are not stored in Outlook or anywhere else.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;&lt;span id="docs-internal-guid-54500ea1-f0bd-faf3-88d7-81aadb3049cc"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 13.3333px; vertical-align: baseline; font-family: arial; white-space: pre-wrap;"&gt;Robust: Outlook handles errors better and the emails can be seen in the Outbox. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;

&lt;span id="docs-internal-guid-54500ea1-f0bd-faf3-88d7-81aadb3049cc"&gt; &lt;span style="font-size: 10pt; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; font-family: arial;"&gt;If you are not using Outlook, you need to configure CMS with your account information. &lt;u&gt;This option is no longer supported. &lt;/u&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: arial; font-size: 13.3333px; white-space: pre-wrap;"&gt;Passwords are encrypted for your security.&lt;/span&gt; If needed, you can create multiple Email Accounts and each Organization (or Letter) can be associated with a different Email Account. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span id="docs-internal-guid-54500ea1-f0bd-faf3-88d7-81aadb3049cc"&gt; &lt;/span&gt;

The Letter you choose when entering a Payment will be the one that will be used for the body of the Letter and the PDF Settings (from the Letter or Organization, as applicable) are used when the PDF is created. The text of the letter can have fields. Fields are special placeholders in the letter that are automatically replaced with data. An example of such a field is &amp;lt;Amount&amp;gt;. When using these fields in a Letter, they need to have the &amp;lt; and &amp;gt; symbols before and after the field name. Click Tasks &amp;gt; Letters and Receipts to access this screen.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

In the past, generating batch letters involved marking the letters as 'Sent'. This had to be done as a separate action. The reason this was not done automatically was to allow you to first confirm that the letters printed correctly. Once letters were marked 'Sent' there was no way to isolate those letters or redo them.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
CMS Version 14.3 and later changes this. &lt;br /&gt;
Even before the letters are generated, the transactions are first collected into a batch&amp;nbsp;(based on the criteria you select) and the batch is saved.&lt;br /&gt;
The letters are then generated (to the Output of your choice) based on the saved batch. Subsequent tasks, such as Envelopes or Labels should be generated based on the saved batch (not dependent on any other criteria).&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;nbsp;Because batches are saved, you have the option to automatically have the batch marked as 'Sent'. Even batches that are marked 'Sent' can easily be reprinted by simply select the batch.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Mark as Sent Options (CMS Version 15.1.5)&lt;br /&gt;
Based on user feedback, we have implemented an option for how the batch of letters get automatically marked as 'Sent' or whether this happens altogether. To benefit from these options, make sure you are using CMS Version 15.1.5 or later).&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
To access this option, click Program Setup &amp;gt; Options &amp;gt; Letters/Receipts tab. There are 4 options for the new Mark Sent feature.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;ol&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt;None&lt;br /&gt;
    &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 10pt;"&gt;Choosing this option will not mark as 'Sent' at all. You won't even be reminded.&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;
    You can mark a batch as 'Sent' at any time by choosing "Mark as 'Sent'" from the Output, selecting your batch, and clicking&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;OK&lt;span style="font-size: 10pt;"&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt;Remind&lt;br /&gt;
    &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 10pt;"&gt;After generating a batch, a message will pop up and remind you not to forget to mark as 'Sent'. This option is the default.&lt;br /&gt;
    Your batch will&amp;nbsp;&lt;em&gt;not&lt;/em&gt;&amp;nbsp;be automatically marked as 'Sent'.&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;
    As with 'None', you need to manually mark the batch as 'Sent'.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt;Prompt&lt;br /&gt;
    &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 10pt;"&gt;After generating a batch, you will be promoted to mark the batch as 'Sent'. Choosing Yes&amp;nbsp;&lt;em&gt;will&lt;/em&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;em&gt;automatically &lt;/em&gt;mark the batch as 'Sent'.&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;
    You&amp;nbsp;&lt;em&gt;will not&lt;/em&gt;&amp;nbsp;have to manually mark the batch as 'Sent' as with the first two options.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 10pt;"&gt;&lt;span style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt;Auto&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
    After generating a batch, it is automatically marked as 'Sent' without a prompt.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;

Also new is the View Batches tab where you can select a batch and see all Transactions that were part of that batch as well as a summary of the criteria used to create that batch.&lt;br /&gt;

    &lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 10pt;"&gt;When entering a Bill, the 'Scheduled Thank-you Letter' field is automatically filled in after selecting the Subcategory.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 10pt;"&gt;When entering a Bill Schedule, the 'Scheduled Thank-you Letter' field is automatically filled in after selecting a Subcategory.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 10pt;"&gt;When entering a Payment, the Letter field is automatically filled in after selecting a Subcategory.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 10pt;"&gt;(If the Payment is being applied to a Bill which has a 'Scheduled Thank-you Letter', that letter will be used even if it is different than the default thank you letter for the Subcategory.)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 10pt;"&gt;When auto-charging credit cards (recurring donations), the Payment which is automatically entered will have the Letter field filled in based on the Subcategory default of the Bill Schedule.&lt;br /&gt;
    &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 10pt;"&gt;(As with the previous point, if the Bill Schedule has a 'Scheduled Thank-you Letter' that is different than the Subcategory default, the 'Scheduled thank-you Letter' of the Bill Schedule will be used.)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Using CMS CONNECTED Forms: When downloading Donations that have been auto-charged on your website, the Payment records that are automatically entered will have the Letter filled in based on the Purpose (Subcategory) field of the form.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Using CMS CONNECTED Forms: When downloading Donations that have &lt;em&gt;not&lt;/em&gt; been auto-charged online, the Bill that is created will not be affected. However, when the card is auto-charged, the Payment which is automatically entered will have the default thank-you letter for the Subcategory (as explained above).&lt;/li&gt;

In addition to the new look of this window, you'll notice the following improvements:&lt;br /&gt;

    &lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt;Window is resizeable&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
    You can drag the edges of this window and the letter text area will shrink and grow to fix the size of the window. This makes longer editing letters easier.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt;Letter Alignment&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
    Each letter can be aligned to the left or right.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt;Font and Size&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
    While in the past (previous versions), there was a general setting to set the font and size of all letters (Program Setup &amp;gt; Options &amp;gt; Style), you can now have this set for each individual letter. By default, all letters have the font and size as it is in your general options.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt;Show Hebrew Date&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
    This too was, in previous versions, a general option which applied to all letters. You can now set this for each letter.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt;Edit, Save, Delete and Cancel buttons&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
    These buttons make editing the letters easier and help avoid accidental modification of the letter text. To edit a letters, click the Edit button. You can then click Save to save the letter text or click Cancel to undo your changes. Click Delete to delete a letter.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt;Last Updated&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
    This field will show you when the letter was last modified.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="text-decoration: underline;"&gt;Filter and Select Letter&lt;br /&gt;
    &lt;/span&gt;You can choose to only view letters of a certain type (Thank-you, Pledge, etc.). You can also "jump" directly to a particular letter by choosing it from the select Letter drop-down.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;div&gt;Also new for the built-in letters is an option to choose the Receipt Stub border. This applies to all thank-you type letters.&lt;br /&gt;
Choices are: Transparent, Solid, Dashes, Short Dashes, Dots, Sparse Dots, Dash Dot, Dash Dot Dot, and Double Solid.&lt;br /&gt;

When creating the bill, (or if the bill is already created, when editing the bill,) you can click select a pledge letter from the 'letter' drop-down.&lt;BR&gt;
&lt;BR&gt;
If you are choosing to send a bill via Word, you can select any pledge letter, but you have to select a letter in order for CMS to "know", that you wish to send a letter based on this bill.&lt;BR&gt;
&lt;BR&gt;
If you don't have any letters in this drop-down, Go to Tools&amp;gt;Customize Letters and create a new letter and make sure change the 'Letter Type' (top right) to 'Pledge'.&lt;BR&gt;
&lt;BR&gt;
Once this is done, go to Reports&amp;gt;Batch&amp;gt;Letters &amp;amp; Receipts and select the 'Pledge' radio button in the 'Type of letters'&amp;nbsp;section.&amp;nbsp;(Optionally, you can select other criteria and the various tabs.)&lt;BR&gt;
&lt;BR&gt;
If you would like to&amp;nbsp;use the built in letters, set the&amp;nbsp;'Output' (top right) to 'Screen'; if you'd like to Word Merge these letters then change the 'Output' to 'Word Merge'.&lt;BR&gt;
&lt;BR&gt;
Alternatively, you can send an individual letter using the 'Send Invoice'/'Send Letter' button on the right of the&amp;nbsp;'Transaction' tab, when viewing Bills. The 'Send Letter' option is available by clicking on the little drop-down arrow next to the 'Send Invoice' button. This button will either bring up the built in pledge letter, or start the Work merge process, depending on your settings on the top of the&amp;nbsp;Letters/Receipts tab&amp;nbsp;in Tools&amp;gt;Options. &lt;BR&gt;

You can choose either to use
Word (as a Word Merge) or Built-In letters. If you choose Word, you
have to enter the location/name of the default thank-you letter
template. Click on the file icon on the right to browse for a template
on your computer. Sample templates are installed with the program.&lt;br /&gt;
If you choose to use Built-In letters, you have a few options within
the Built-in Letters. You can check off whether to show a receipt on
the thank-you letter or not. If you choose to show a receipt, you can
also choose whether you want to state the purpose of the donation as
well as your Tax ID number. You can also choose whether to show the
Hebrew Date on letters or not.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Default receipt template:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
You can choose whether to use
Word for receipts by checking off the check box. If you choose to use
Word for receipts, you need to enter the location/name of the default
receipt template. Click on the file icon on the right to browse for a
template on your computer.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Default correspondence letter template:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Choose a letter that will be the default for correspondence. Click on
the file icon on the right to browse for a template on your computer.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt; &lt;strong&gt;Correspondence Folder:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Choose a folder on your computer that will be the folder where all
correspondence is stored. When writing an individual letter to a
person, you should store the letter in this folder and link to it
through &lt;a href="http://chabadms.com/userguide/history.htm" target="_blank"&gt;History &amp;gt; Files&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Default Thank You Letter:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Choose a default Thank-You
letter from the drop-down list. The list is based on the letters that
are built in and can be customized using the Customize Letters option.
Even if you use Word for your letters, you should still choose a
default thank you letter as this is required for batch letters.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Here is where you specify the margins of your stationary. The
margins indicate how much or the page your stationary takes up. If your
stationary has a column on the left of the page (names and titles in
your organization), you should increase the Left margin accordingly.&lt;br /&gt;
You may need to experiment with the margins until you get it just right.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Preprinted Material:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/strong&gt;Check the &lt;strong&gt;Stationary&lt;/strong&gt; check box if you have pre-printed
stationary. If this box is checked, CMS will print a letter without any
letterhead using the margins that you set. If this box is unchecked,
CMS will print letters on a basic letterhead. Checking the &lt;strong&gt;Envelope&lt;/strong&gt;
check box will indicate to the program not to print your return address
on envelopes. If you don't have pre-printed envelopes, you should leave
this options unchecked.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Letterhead Image:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Not pictured here, you can select an image file to be printed on all you Letters.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Types
of images supported are bmp, gif, jpg&lt;br /&gt;
Do not select a
tiff as this will show up in the preview, BUT will cause the ty letters not to come up.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt; If you size
your image to 8 x10 inches (Approx. 720x960 pixels; 21.59x27.94 cm), it will fill the entire page.&lt;br /&gt;
In Paint &amp;ndash; you can click Image&amp;gt; Resize to see / change the Width and Height of the image.
