Due to the increase in security concerns in storing credit card numbers and other cardholder information, we will in the near future be integrating with Authorize.net's Customer Information Manager (CIM). CIM allows all cardholder information to be saved in Authorize.net and CMS will only store the customerID and profileID. In order for this to be done in your Authorize.net account, the CIM needs to be activated. While in many cases, Authorize.net would add a monthly charge ($10-20/month) for CIM, we were able to add this feature to your Authorize.net Gateway at no additional cost to you. However, action is needed on your part. You need to login to your Authorize.net account and accept the terms and conditions for this feature. It is important that this be done as soon as possible because we are unsure how long this will be available at no cost. In addition, having this feature on your Authorize.net is a must since CMS will no longer be storing sensitive cardholder information (even in encrypted form the way it does presently). Here are the steps to activate the CIM in your account.
