Getting Started
Prerequisites
- Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista 32/64 bit, Windows 7 32/64 bit.
- Microsoft Access 2010 (32 bit only) with Service Pack 1 (SP1).
If you don't have Microsoft Access 2010, See Removing Microsoft Access to remove a different version of Microsoft Access, and see Installing Microsoft Access Runtime 2010. Older versions of Access are no longer supported (as of CMS Version 10.8.24).
- Install all service packs and updates from Microsoft.
- Windows Vista/7, click Start > All Programs > Windows Update.
- Windows XP, go to http://update.microsoft.com and install updates for both Windows and Office.

Installation Instructions
- If you installed any demos of CMS on your computer, uninstall them. You also should delete the Sample Data File from the “C:\Chabad Management System\Sample Data” folder(s).
- Download and install the latest update to CMS from http://support.chabadms.com/Forms/frmDownloads.aspx (The “update” IS the full version).
- Download and unzip your CMS Data File into the “My Documents\CMS\Data” folder. The name of this file is “CMS.mdb” (you may not see the “.mdb” extension.) If you did not receive your CMS Data file, please contact tech support.
Multi-User installation: The location of the data file should be on a server or shared folder.
- Double-click the shortcut on your desktop to start CMS.
- When prompted for the CMS Data File, choose it from the “My Documents\CMS\Data” folder (or from the mapped drive, in a multi-user environment).
- Call 626 791-7072 x 3 to register.
