CMS Program not starting after installing Windows/Office Updates on 3/13/2013.

This issue is affecting many CMS installations. It is due to a Windows Update that was rolled out my Microsoft on 3/13/2013.

A required update to CMS Connected has been released.

Your current CMS Connected application will no longer be able to connect until you install this update. You must install this update in order to design your website forms and to download submissions.

To install the update, go to support.chabadms.com and login to the website and click the 'Downloads' link. Then click CMS Connected and follow on-screen instructions.

Windows Updates that are installed on Patch Tuesday Causes Issues in CMS

The email notification you receive now include the details of the submission.

You can also view your submissions online at http://www.chabadms.com/support. Click View Submissions.

In versions of CMS prior to 11.12.26 there is a feature for "Exclude Goods received amounts" when doing a year-end type letter. Using this feature will cause duplicate amounts if the payment as split into multiple categories.

Because of this bug, this option has been removed in version 11.12.26. If you are using a version prior to 11.12.26 you should not use this option (Exclude Goods received amounts) if you have any donations that were split into multiple categories.

You can limit a batch of Thank-you letters to one or more solicitors.

In the Batch Letters window (Tasks > Letters & Receipts), click the Other tab and choose to Limit or Exclude Solicitors.

Improvement implemented in version 11.12.15.

A new "Manual" option for Labels and Salutation has been implemented.

In the Address Settings section, choose "Manual" from the Label Type and/or Salutation fields. Choosing "Manual" will prevent the Label and Salutation fields from being updated automatically for the current address. To manually update these fields, click Address Details and enter the Labels and Salutations as needed.

This is useful when you want to enter a custom salutation and/or label that should not be updated...

Added medical related fields for users who have the Camp, School or Friendship Circle modules. Fields include Insurance, Physician, Hospital, Diagnosis, Medications, Allergies and more.

These fields are now available by clicking "Medical Info" when viewing the details of an individual (Family tab). On the Family tab, select the individual and click Edit. Click Medical Info...

These fields are also available when doing a Contact Report (Type: Family) to export to Excel. ...

Added parent Label and parent salutation fields to Camp/School Application type reports.

Contact Report now support the exporting of the Address Note field.

Address note is often used to add information about the specific address. Each contact can have multiple addresses, and using the Address note is beneficial in entering a note associated with a specific address (in contrast to entering a general note for the Contact).

This improvement was implemented in version 11.11.7.
